Wassail Recipe
Ingredients:
• 32 oz. apple juice
• 1/2 c. whiskey
• 8 oz. water
• 5 large orange slices
• 5 cloves
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 1 tsp. packed brown sugar
• 12 oz. orange or orange/tangerine juice (no pulp)
Directions:
Heat the above ingredients in a pot on the stove over low heat for 45 minutes. Remove cloves, cinnamon and oranges and discard. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and/or orange slice if desired. Keep warm with the crocheted cozy featured below.

This pattern for the mug cozy is difficult to understand. The explanation of abbreviations is mis labeled for one and I don’t understand row 5 at all…

The body calls for 44 rows but it only took 24 rows for me to circle my mug, a pretty standard 10-12 ounce mug.

Duh. Ignore my comment regarding 24 rows rather than 44. I don’t know where my mind was. I counted ridges rather than rows! You would think this is my first rodeo.
